I'm an IT professional with a Swiss Federal Vocational Education and Training Diploma in Computer Science, a Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Software Development and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) in Geneva.

I've worked as a Developer at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and for various private companies over the years, specializing in Free and Open Source Software.

I currently teach IT while pursuing a Master of Science in Information Science. My research interests focus on data and information governance, including policy, legal and ethical aspects, in the context of safety and emergency management.

I am the author of the Decentralized Emergency Management Protocol (DEMP), an open communication standard for community-driven safety, and the founder of SAFE (Safety Assistant for Everyone), a Free and Open Source personal safety platform.

Off the clock, I'm an experienced long-distance runner who takes on challenges with discipline, dedication and a commitment to excellence.
